All of which include the common principals of battle through one up man-ship and the ever-present nature of competition. It seems there's a primal nature in humans, a need for a duel. These underlying fundamentals have made it a lifestyle for the practitioners of those skil...ls. This desire to better one's self through healthy struggles, based on style, technique, and concepts transcending race and class.

These principles are what fuel the focus of this exhibition and are indicative in the artists presented.

"VERS(E/U)S" is the visual response of 7 different voices to these core philosophies.
As well, how they personally identify to, and against, the spoken verse as it has infiltrated aspects of our daily lives.
