NATO Recap

Just some shots from the NATO protest this past weekend.

Chicago Protests

So Chicago has a pretty big week for itself currently. A few protest have already gone down, here's one that happened last night that went thru 3 south side hoods. Basic premis: FUCK THE POLICE.

Bridgeport has a history, this sums it up pretty well. They don't like outsiders, no matter who you are.

Stay tuned for more.

TODD SCHORR

Todd Schorr: American Surreal is the first mid-career retrospective of the Los Angeles-based artist. Schorr is a leading figure in Southern California's cartoon-based movement, dubbed Pop Surrealism, which embraces low-brow culture and a ribald graphic style indebted to pop sources such as Mad magazine. Schorrs astonishing, highly polished realism, (inspired by Bosch, Brueghel and Dali), sets him apart from his best-known peers such as Camille Rose Garcia, Gary Baseman, and Mark Ryden. The exhibition, curated by SJMAs Senior Scholar and Curator of Collections Susan Landauer, is accompanied by a book published by Last Gasp, San Francisco. WWWW.TODDSCHORR.COM

Japan..

Always have weird, cool, strange, funny things coming out of Japan. This is a promo for the new Ring spin-off (in the American remake, it'll be called Samantha Morgan).

Live & Swipe

I had a chance this weekend to get up with Chicago's own, Live and Swipe (JAM-TMR Crews). If you're from the City you know how these two get down, and how consistent they are. More about putting in work than anything else, it was a nice trip. Some down to earth brothers.  Stay tuned for more pics, and a few words from each.

Happy Easter!

King's Cave update

Just a few flicks of the new work that's been going on from Chicago's King's Cave. Run and maintained by Emte (SAW-KYM-TN. Him and his crew have put in a ton of hours cleaning it and making it safer for everyone to enjoy themselves. In case you missed it, I did an interview a while back you can find it here:

Can't wait to see what this summer holds for King's Cave.
